Leonard Bernstein 90th Anniversary Festival

To commemorate the 90th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein's birth, and the 50th anniversary of his appointment as music director of the New York Philharmonic, Carnegie Hall and the New York Philharmonic present a celebration featuring more than 30 events in seven different venues throughout New York City. These events - including performances of his three symphonies; music for film, ballet, and stage; recitals, lectures, panel discussions, exhibits, and films; a semi-staged production of his seminal musical On the Town; and performances of the breadth of this legendary New Yorker's contributions to both the American and international musical cultures.

To mark the occasion Gramophone magazine is producing a special collector's edition magazine for the event, featuring informative articles on Bernstein, his life, career, as well as information on the concert programs, performers, venues and broadcasts - everything the avid concert-goer needs to know - plus more.
