USS NEW YORK commissioning date set

The commissioning of USS NEW YORK, taking place on November 7, 2009, will mark a significant milestone in the ship's career. It marks her entry into the United States Navy's fleet and provides an opportunity to show appreciation to the men and women who stand in harm's way to preserve the American way of life.

Faircount is in the process of preparing the official commemorative book for the event under the auspices of the New York Council of the Navy League of the United States. The publication will be distributed at the commissioning ceremony as well as by direct mail to a preselected list of VIPs representing the military, business, New York State and City.
