Moorfields Eye Hospital Bicentenary Publication launched
Faircount Media Group's publishing division is proud to announce the release of the Official Bicentenary Publication for Moorfields Eye Hospital, the oldest and largest specialist eye hospital in the world.
Opened by John Cunningham Saunders and colleagues in 1805, Moorfields employs 1,000 staff at 11 London sites. Founded as The London Dispensary for Curing Diseases of the Eye and Ear, Moorfields is, today, renowned the world over for its treatment and research. Each year it sees over 250,000 patients, carries out almost 18,000 operations and trains hundreds of clinical staff. Together with the Institute of Ophthalmology, it is a true international centre of excellence, managing the largest ongoing ophthalmic research programme in the world.
Moorfields chose to appoint Faircount to produce its Offical Bicentenary publication on the strength of the excellent reputation Faircount has accrued within the field of medical and scientific publishing. Peter Antell, Faircount Media Group Vice President, comments:
