OnPack Media, Faircount Media Group's outdoor and ambient division, has struck a media first - the exterior branding of a Flybe aircraft with the logo and colours of Mansion, the international gaming company and new sponsors of Tottenham Hotspur FC.

The half-million pound deal will see a Flybe BAe-146 plane carry Mansion branding for two years from its inaugural flights to England's first World Cup match in Frankfurt this weekend. After this, the branded aircraft will resume on Flybe's scheduled service. The deal, brokered by OnPack, will also see the aircraft taking the Spurs' team to its away matches in the UEFA Cup next season.

As well as branding the exterior of the Flybe aircraft, OnPack Media has arranged for Mansion advertising to appear on in-flight service trolleys and on plasma screens in Flybe's executive lounges.

Peter Antell, managing director of OnPack Media, comments:

"We believe this is the first pure media deal to place an ad on the side of an aircraft, which isn't part of a partnership or affiliate agreement. We envisage a point when advertising on the side of aircraft is as commonplace as advertising on the side of buses or taxis. OnPack intends to be at the forefront of this media activity and we're already working with several airlines to this end.

"Globally, there are 2.1 billion passenger departures via airports each year, so the opportunities to see this form of advertising are staggering. OnPack Media is committed to sourcing innovative and inventive solutions to help companies fulfil their goals effectively."

Mansion chief operating officer David Kinsman comments: "Mansion continues to seek new and unique partnerships that are guaranteed to turn heads. The deal we have inked with Flybe through OnPack Media elevates our brand to new heights, and has opened the door to developing innovative and fresh approaches of reaching a pan-European market."

Flybe marketing director Simon Lilley comments: "Flybe has given its ambient media business to OnPack Media who negotiated this deal and the London agency has more in the pipeline for Flybe across various platforms."
