Over 200 hundred years ago Congress authorized what was to become the seed from which grew one of the most important and exciting agencies the U.S. government has ever created the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration - NOAA. To coincide with the anniversary, a publication was produced in partnership with NOAA entitled 'NOAA: 200 Years of Science, Service, and Stewardship to the Nation'. The publication contains introductory messages from NOAA leadership; interviews with senior NOAA executives, and editorial features on the history of NOAA and its component agencies. Editorial will also focus on current and future programs of the agency.
