US Air Force Academy 50th anniversary
One of the most important occasion on the US military calendar in 2004 was undoubtedly the 50th anniversary of the prestigious United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). On April 1, 1954 President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the Air Academy Act, a bill establishing the world’s foremost academy for aerospace professionals. To chronicle the success and achievements that defined the United States Air Force Academy Faircount worked with the academy to create a special commemorative publication entitled 50 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE: The 50th Anniversary of the United States Air Force Academy. Through the course of over 200 pages, the people and programs of the USAFA were profiled and the future course investigated through a series of incisive articles, written by military experts, former graduates, and renowned journalists.
