The Course

Introduction

Following the overwhelming success of last year's series of training programmes for Tax & Revenue authorities, IFCCT is delighted to announce that a further series of meetings will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Advanced Financial Crime Prevention Training for Tax and Revenue Authorities

The purpose of the course is to equip Income, Corporation and Customs & Excise officers with the tools to identify and respond to fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crime against the State.

The course will examine how businesses and individuals seek to circumvent statutory and other controls and how taxpayers are used as vehicles, knowingly or not, by criminal elements.

Through detailed examination of the applicable laws and regulations created to counter these aspects of financial crime, participants will develop a more comprehensive understanding of how criminals operate, how they use third parties, domestically and internationally, and how tax and duty authorities are able to respond, and to understand the principles of legislation and regulation with a view to improving the regimes within which they operate.

IFCCT courses enjoy the close backing and endorsement of major international organisations and institutions, such as the United Nations, World Bank, OECD and FATF.
